SF6 gas leakage emergency treatment and personnel evacuation plan measures
When the SF6 gas leakage accident occurs, it can quickly deal with the accident, improve the efficiency and quality of the accident handling, establish an emergency rescue mechanism in emergency situations, ensure the safety and rapid evacuation of personnel, so as to minimize the possible injury to personnel and damage to mechanical and electrical equipment.

SF6 gas leaks and decomposes into SOF2 (sulfuryl fluoride), SO2F2 (sulfuryl fluoride), SF4, S0F4 and S2F10 under the action of oxygen and water or an electric arc. Among them, the highly toxic S2F10 and SOF2, SOF4, SO2F2 have considerable toxicity, which is very harmful to human body and electrode.
1 Purpose
When the SF6 gas leakage accident occurs, it can quickly deal with the accident, improve the efficiency and quality of the accident handling, establish an emergency rescue mechanism in emergency situations, ensure the safety and rapid evacuation of personnel, so as to minimize the possible injury to personnel and damage to mechanical and electrical equipment.
2 Scope of Application
This plan is applicable to SF6 gas leakage accidents occurring in SF6 electrical equipment such as GCB, short-circuit switch, 500KV switch, tool brake and bus bar at the generator outlet and threatening the safety of personnel and equipment in the emergency treatment stage.
3 Duties
3.1 The power plant shall establish an emergency treatment office, with the director of the production Department as the director of the office, and the members shall be composed of persons in charge of each department of the production Department and the maintenance company.
3.2. Responsibilities of the Emergency Response Office:
3.2.1 During the emergency period, organize, inspect and implement the emergency preparedness work and supervise, inspect and coordinate the emergency handling work of various departments and units;
3.2.2 Actively do a good job in the organization and coordination of personnel evacuation, and ensure the safe and orderly evacuation of personnel from the safe channel.
4 SF6 gas leak treatment
4.1 Confirm the interval at which SF6 gas leaks occur and closely monitor the drop in pressure. Open the DC operating power supply and tripping power supply at the corresponding switch interval in the relay room, report to the dispatcher and apply for adjusting the operation mode of the 500KV main system, and open the adjacent switch to isolate the switch or knife brake that causes SF6 gas leakage. At the same time, the relevant situation will be reported to the relevant leadership and dispatching department.
4.2 Start the GIS room, main transformer and busbar fan.
4.3 The industrial TV system shall be used to monitor the accident site, inform the staff near the SF6 gas leakage site to evacuate as soon as possible, close the channels from GIS room and pipeline layer and set up eye-catching signs. The staff of the main change room, the main change road and the auxiliary plant office should be evacuated from the generator floor of the plant as far as possible. The main change road should be isolated by fence and prohibited from passing. The staff on duty in the central control room should wear gas masks.
4.4 Operators shall take safety measures related to SF6 gas leakage of 500KV switch and brake, and the leading group shall organize the formulation of treatment plan, find the leak point, and organize the treatment after recovering SF6 gas with the recovery vehicle.
4.5 All personnel involved in SF6 gas leakage treatment must wear gas masks, and the operator shall closely monitor the work site.
