Pure SF6 gas is non-toxic, but it produces many kinds of toxic, harmful, corrosive gases and solid decomposition after decomposition.
These gases are mainly thionyl fluoride (SOF2), sulfuryl fluoride (SO2F2), sulfur tetrafluoride (SF4), sulfuryl tetrafluoride (SOF4), disulfide decafluoride (S2F10), disulfide oxydecafluoride (S2F10O) and so on
The main solid decomposition products are copper fluoride (CuF2), difluorodimethylsilicon [Si (CH3) 2F2], aluminum trifluoride (AIF3) powder, etc.
