Which parts are the high-voltage circuit breaker composed of, and what is the role of each part?

The high voltage circuit breaker consists of the following five parts: on-off components, intermediate transmission mechanism, operating mechanism, insulation support and base.

The on-off element is the core part of the circuit breaker, and the main circuit is connected and disconnected by it. The on-off of the main circuit, after the operating mechanism receives the operation instruction, is transmitted to the on-off component through the intermediate transmission mechanism, and the on-off component executes the command to make the main circuit connected or disconnected. The on-off element comprises a contact, a conductive part, an arc extinguishing medium and an arc extinguishing chamber, etc., which are generally placed on an insulating support to insulate the live part from the ground, and the insulating support is installed on the base. The structure of these basic components varies with the type of circuit breaker.

The high-voltage circuit breaker is a load switch with perfect arc extinguishing structure and sufficient interrupting capacity, which is used for the control of high-voltage power grid and power supply.

The high voltage circuit breaker consists of a conductive circuit, an arc extinguishing chamber, an insulating part, an operating mechanism and a transmission part, a housing and a supporting part.

The high-voltage circuit breaker mainly has the following functions:

1, the control function according to the needs of the power grid operation, part or all of the electrical equipment and part or all of the line into or out of operation.

2, protection function When a part of the power grid failure, it and the protection device, automatic device, the fault part will be cut out from the system, reduce the scope of power failure, prevent the expansion of the accident, protect all kinds of electrical equipment in the system from damage, protect the safe operation of the trouble-free part of the system.

High voltage circuit breakers are classified according to different extinguishing media:

1, oil circuit breaker: the use of transformer as the arc extinguishing medium, and divided into more oil and less oil two types.

2, sulfur hexafluoride circuit breaker: The use of inert gas sulfur hexafluoride to extinguish arc, and use it has a high insulation performance to enhance the insulation between contacts.

3, vacuum circuit breaker: the contact is sealed in the high vacuum arc extinguishing room, using the high insulation performance of the vacuum to extinguish the arc.

4, air circuit breaker: the use of high-speed flow of compressed air to extinguish arc.

5, solid gas circuit breaker: the use of solid gas substances under the action of high temperature arc decomposition of the gas to quench the arc.

6, magnetic blow circuit breaker: the electromagnetic force generated by the large current flowing through itself when the circuit is broken will quickly elongate the arc and be sucked into the magnetic arc extinguishing room to cool off.
